Chindwin River
         The river is also a useful river in Myanamar and it has 695 miles. It is flowing from north to south and passing through the land of interested "Naga" people land.
Chindwin River Tours are really a big adventure and not many foreign visitors had the chance to explore the hidden treasures of Chindwin River.we can provide special boat, which are able to go through shallow water.
              Our typical local wooden boat invites you to experience REAL MYANMAR along the Chindwin River. Visitors also love to sit on the sunset sightseeing, to observe the daily life at the river or just enjoy the beautiful unique scenery passing by. During your journey, certain stops will be arranged to explore some villages and towns.
The Chindwin River is possible from its confluence with the Ayeyarwaddy River Rout  near Bagan up to Khamti at the foot of the Naga Mountains, 500 miles to the north .

Cruising to "Naga" land
               The main and hilight destination along the Chindwin river route is "Naga" people land. The Naga are mainly settled in between the Indian border and the Chindwin River. On Myanmar side of the border, much smaller population of some 100,000 Nagas. Naga burn their field and grow rice and taros. Men’s tattoos indicate his villages and tribes. Women do not cover their breasts either but wear tattoos since when they are little girls in villages of animism. At some of Naga villages under strong influnces of Christianity or Burman culture, tattoos are disappearing. Among tribal peoples of the world, the Naga must sport one of the most exotic traditional costumes. Black carpet woven with black fur of dogs with red rectangular-shapes embroideries used to be the typical design. Today Naga people use wool instead of dog fur. Shells used in the textiles with different pattern show the person’s social status, experience of head-hunting and wealth.

Fine Tour Boat facilities
           We will arrange a sleeping area on the main deck (beds, pillows and mosquito nets), almost like a cabin! “Walls” will be built by local mats or curtains to secure your privacy at night. Shower and toilet facilities are onboard, simple but clean!
At daytime the main deck will be your living room, your restaurant or just a place to relax.
                 The crew will cook every day yummy local food for lunch and dinner! Green Tea will be served the whole day and soft-drinks, beer or even whiskey will be sold onboard!
                  Prices may change due to general increase of petrol/diesel charges which we can’t foresee at the moment. Price will be finally confirmed one month before departure!
